Elijah’s First Birthday

The first year is a wild one. Everything is new which makes room for plenty of amazing and also difficult times. Each birthday is a way to presently celebrate both what has happened and what is to come. They give us a day to sit back and examine. Though I do look forward to many years with my children, I am reminded that these little ones don’t stay little for very long. I want to be thankful for how the past has shaped our family, to truly enjoy the present ‘now’ with my family, and to look forward in hope of a wonderful future for my family.
